The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is actively investigating a reported shooting incident that claimed the life of Mr. Leon Gaymes, a 26-year-old labourer of Layou which occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2023.
According to preliminary investigation, at approximately 8:00 pm on Saturday, November 18, 2023, the Police received a report of gunfire going off in Texier Road, Layou.
Mr. Gaymes reportedly sustained multiple gunshot wounds perpetrated by unknown masked assailant(s). He was transported to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital and was pronounced dead on arrival by Doctors at the institution.
A postmortem examination will be conducted on the deceased, to ascertain the exact cause of death.
The Crime Scene Unit promptly processed the scene and collected items of evidential value.
