On 17.09.23, Calvin Henry, a 50-year-old Labourer of Canouan was arrested and charged with the offences of Damage to Property and Theft.
Henry is accused of without lawful excuse, damaging one (1) Wooden Window valued at $200.00ECC, and one Hinge valued at $45.00EC – a total value of $245.00ECC by breaking the same with an unknown object. The property of a businesswoman of Canouan.
Henry was also accused of entering the said complainant’s Liquor and Provision Shop as a trespasser and stole a quantity of items valued at $, 638.50ECC at about 1:13 am on 16.09.23 at Grand Bay, Canouan.
On 18.09.23 Henry appeared at the Canouan Magistrate Court and pleaded guilty to the charges. He was sentenced to Three (3) months and Thirteen (13) months respectively for both offences.
