Good morning Sir/ Madam,
I would like to turn your attention to the many passengers who have been left stranded in several islands across the region due to issues associated with Inter-Caribbean Airlines. It is alleged that Caribbean Airlines bought out all the pilots from InterCaribbean.
InterCaribbean has also been overbooking their flights, this happened with me and I volunteered to give up my seat. Recently, there has been a lot of no-shows. Not surprisingly, because there is poor regulations in the Caribbean, the airline does not take responsibility for any delays or cancellations. In other words, no hotels, no food, no missed connecting flights assistance etc.
A video that surfaced encapsulates this point more clearly as seen below:
InterCaribbean airline was once seen as a gleam of hope for intra-regional travel after LIAT’s demise around the time of the Covid-19 pandemic. The airline (InterCaribbean) was one which offered travel at an affordable price in comparison to other airline carriers. Is it safe to say that the dominance it once held from the period of 2020 to 2023 would now come to an early end? – So I hope at least!
I urge you to investigate and advocate for the passengers.
Kind Regards,
Annoyed passenger
