The Bequia Threadworks feature Indiria Andrews, their Embroidery Technician!
As a child, Indiria would watch her mother sewing at home. She eventually picked up these skills, trying her hand at crocheting clothes, swimsuits and handbags.
In secondary school, her talents advanced further as she learned how to hand embroider. When we met Indiria back in 2018 during our first-ever classes, it was clear that she was talented. From there, she went on to apply for our Embroidery Technician position.
At our Production Centre, Indiria’s role includes making samples and using our state-of-the-art embroidery machine. She is the one behind the embroidery work for our tees and caps in the Boutique, as well as all custom orders for businesses, schools, villas and more.

Though she mainly works in her own space completing these projects, Indiria also assists in other aspects of production, such as sewing, cutting and ironing. She notes that she was more involved than ever before in bringing our latest collection – ‘Into The Wild’ to life.
She finds that it is good practice for her because at home, she enjoys making clothes for her husband and daughter.
Being a part of our Bequia Threadworks family has fulfilled one of Indiria’s childhood dreams: working in fashion. She appreciates how devoted we are to supporting our team, such as helping to build a career for many of our team members.
She is impressed that our organisation has evolved into creating pieces to be sold and shipped internationally for our new fashion brand NOYO.
